The exhibition TOURISM. LEISURE. HOTELS 2017 ended and for many visitors it has been that small step that leads to a great journey. It is told that a good holiday is the best reward and those who came to Moldexpo in the period April 6 - 9 were fully rewarded.

The leader of the Moldovan aviation industry, Air Moldova, presented new direct flights Chisinau - Madrid and Chisinau - Krasnodar. Aerlux offered to the busiest visitors a new solution - an online platform where everyone can plan their own vacation to the smallest detail.

Moldova: rock monasteries, grapes and something else

The ultimate goal of a travel is not to see a foreign country, but to see your country as a foreign one. Travel opportunities and cultural peculiarities of different regions of Moldova were presented at the stands of the district councils of Calarasi, Hincesti, Glodeni, Nisporeni, Orhei, Soroca, ATU Gagauzia.

Cave monasteries and ancient fortresses, agro-touristic boarding houses, unique nature monuments and reserves, museums and resorts, wine tours and mineral tours - everything our country can be proud of was displayed at the exhibition.  The most famous attractions included the Manor Manuk Bey in Hincesti, Hincu Monastery in Nisporeni, Orhei Natural and Cultural Reserve "Old Orhei".

Attractive offers from foreign participants

At TOURISM. LEISURE. HOTELS 2017 were importantly present the foreign travel companies, both within the national stands of their countries, and also with individual stands.

This year participants from Ukraine presented opportunities for recreation at the seaside resorts of Vilkovo, Zatoka, Sergeevka, Gribovo and Odessa, as well as other types of tourism in Odessa region. The possibilities of effective medical tourism were presented at the stands of the Skhidnytsa Resort and the Hotel Complex Carpaty, one of the largest treatment and diagnostic centers in the Truskavets resort.

The most diverse possibilities of recreation were displayed by participants from Romania. Romanian companies offered sojourns in the Borsec resort, cultural and entertainment vacations in Buzau area and at Sarata Monteora, spa tourism in Covasna, the best opportunities for family vacations and recreation at the resorts of Sovata, Baile Felix, Slanic Moldova and Vatra Dornei.

New and promising destinations for tourists from Moldova were offered by participants from Georgia. At the stand of the Marco Polo Hotel in Gudauri one could get acquainted with the young ski resort of Gudauri and learn about the main attraction of Gudauri - freeride - descent through virgin fields. One of the best spa hotels in Georgia, MediHaus, offered not only the possibility of health recreation in the Sachkhere area, but also excursions to the colorful places of Imeretia.

Participants from Bulgaria presented the whole range of famous tourist destinations. In addition to the traditional proposals for beach holidays in Burgas, Albena etc. on Golden Sands, Bulgarian tour operators offered new opportunities for children and youth recreation, sports recreation, sightseeing tours to the heart of historic Bulgaria, as well as opportunities for balneotherapy.

Representatives of Slovakia offered a novelty – treatment at the resort of Cerveni Kláštor, known for its rare spring water, while representatives of Hungary revealed the prospects for a wonderful pastime at the resort of Hajdúszoboszló. Here, tourists will enjoy spa treatment, a swimming complex, an aqua park and an Aqua Palace.

The offers of representatives of Turkey were traditionally rich - affordable prices for beach holidays in the hotels of Antalya, Kemer, Belek, Alanya. In addition, at the national stand of Turkey visitors offered sightseeing tours to historical places, nature reserves and natural monuments.

 

Feast of rural tourism "My Village as A Tourist Destination " - we preserve and pass on traditions

TOURISM. LEISURE. HOTELS 2017 hosted the Festival - contest "My Village", where all aspects of the Moldovan cultural heritage were presented to the attention of visitors. Representatives of the districts Calarasi, Hincesti, Glodeni, Nisporeni, Orhei, Soroca, ATU Gagauzia shared with visitors rich information about their native places. Centuries-old traditions were presented not only at the stands of the districts, but in songs, special dishes, costumes of the inhabitants of these places. The festival was the most vivid and fun event of the exhibition. The 1st prize went to representatives of the Hincesti district, while the Grand Prix of the contest was awarded to the delegation of ATU Gagauzia.

Business program

The consistent business program became an organic part of the exhibition, where experts discussed a number of problems of the industry, exchanged views on the prospects for further development in this field. The co-organizer of the exhibition, the Tourism Agency of Moldova, conducted a seminar on the topic "Association for the development of tourism services. Promotion of the "cluster" concept in the field of tourism ". During the seminar, a close attention was given to the innovative component of the cluster system. According to the experts of the Agency, such association will lead to increased competition, development of regions and growth of the tourism market.

The National Association of Incoming Tourism of Moldova (ANTRIM) presented a modern and effective resource "Information Center for Tourists from Chisinau". In the information center, the guests of the capital will have free access to information about the sights of the republic, offers of tour operators, various festivals and cultural events. In addition, the Association held a master class on "Promotion of tourism products, tourism services and small businesses in the tourism industry through various marketing tools and communication channels" with the participation of experts in the tourism industry.

During the seminar organized by Air Moldova, the audience was presented with new products of the summer 2017. In particular, the company representatives showcased new special offers for Italy and Spain. Now, a trip to the most interesting tourist destinations in Italy and Spain will be at a price of 59 euros one way.
